What should I do about my fire alarm?
Last night I woke up at 4:30 am because my fire alarm was beeping. I have new batteries in it and we just got it a few weeks ago. I checked the house to make sure nothing was on fire, I went outside to check the neighbors houses and everything was just fine!!! What may possibly be incorrect with the fire alarm? Should I just go buy a new one. What may possibly have caused it to activate the alarm?

I test them for a living, i am an inspector. Usually its simply a matter of dirt building up i the unit and it needs to be cleaned out.. so go get a can of air spray open up the detector and blown it all out excellent, and I bet you the conundrum will stop
Try to change batteries again before buying new alarm.
I come across this conundrum all the time in work, dust sets off smoke alarms, and the only way to stop it happening is to set your vacuum cleaner to a low setting and regularly vacuum the decector and all around it, it should be fine then
