Should I put a fire/smoke alarm in our daughters room?
Okay so I am replacing our ancient fire alarm and replacing it with a new alarm and a carbon monoxide alarm. I am placing the alarms in the hallway (outside of the bedrooms) Should I place a further set of alarms in the babys room? The alarm will only be about 5 feet if that from her bedroom door?Is that close enough… Or should I just buy a further fire alarm to place in her room?
Thank You.

no they go on the outside of the room, it may possibly hurt her ears if its that close, and besides she wont be able to get out of bed by herself so just out in the hall is the place for it. as long as you can hear it thats what matters.
it has been proven that children when in a deep sleep will not hear the alarm anyway.
Get one in her room…if there were ever an electrical fault that caused smoldering then it would be detected precious seconds before it would if you only had one in the hall.
place 1 in everyroom. and I hope you have a fantastic baby!
its all about safety…sounds fine to me but there may possibly be a fire in the babies room and the fire alarm in the baby’s room would go off first rather than the one in the hall….so to be safe I would
the one outside the doors should b excellent enough there only needs 2 b 1 per level of the house unless u have a mansion lol
Yes! We have alarms in every bedroom, in the hallway and kitchen.
yes exclusions does she smoke a lot of pot whilst your tiresome to sleep?
You should get one in her room as well as the hall. Possibly it doesn’t make sense now, but place when she’s ancient enough to know what the alarm means it may possibly save her life. A lot of kids may possibly sleep through an alarm and it will place your mind at ease as well.
Its a excellent thought to have one in every room and hallway. If her door was closed and something was to spark that detector would go off first before the one in the hall charitable you more time to respond. EVERY SECOND COUNTS!! Also it sounds amusing but if you have a dog see how they react to the sound. The carbon detector we have our dog barks CRAZY so its an added alarm. When our alarm timer goes off he runs to it when he is out of the krate but in it he does nothing. So you need to test your animal during the day and night. GL and hope nothing ever happens
It wouldn’t hurt to place a battery operated one in every bedroom.
I would beyond doubt place one in her room. If for some reason you want to close her bedroom door the alarm in the hall will be useless. better to be safe than sorry.
