I want to istall a burglar alarm?
Does this occupy much removal of plaster or can they be fitted without much impact and need for redecorating. Should i install one whilst doing a re-wire or is it ok to do it after decorating is done. Ta

If you get a wireless system, there’re some things to consider. Possible interference is one–other electronic devices may possibly give off signals that affect the accuracy of the alarm system.
The other point is all the wireless systems will need batteries in the sensors–motion detectors and the door and window sensors. That means you need to change batteries when they go flat. Try to look for those that run on lithium batteries.
If you have a very huge house over a few floors, wireless may possibly present some difficulties–range limitation. In that case, you have to look for those with relays that help extend the range.
It is best to do it while re decorating, there isn’t much mess but obviously holes to be drilled etc.
they have wireless systems now
Look at B & Qs web site. You can get wire free burglar alarms. Makes it all so much simpler.
