Most smoke alarms that I’m familiar with will not go off from the smoke generated by incense. Now possibly if you burn a half-dozen sticks at once it might, but one stick at a time shouldn’t make enough combustion products to trigger the alarm.

I reckon you can get away with it safely. Hope your neighbors don’t complain. I recommend you try using aromatic candles as they don’t produce smoke like incense.
