   YES…There are several companies here in the U.S. that you can have install Alarm Systems. and have the "controls" place into your PC. You can control certain areas of your home or certain specific rooms. You can even pre-set your alarm to guard the outside perimeter of your home, or the inside, or both at the same time.ADT and IBM have these systems available, Check the Internet under Advanced Home Security
   Systems.

   Be aware that many of the huge companys charge an arm and a leg for the pieces to their system and hard to get out of contracts for monthly fees. A more reasonably priced route would be a wireless security system that can be combined with home automation. X10 has all kinds of stuff you can chekc out and that work together. I have ActiveHome and its the coolest thing ever!

   Take a look at the equipment sold by X 10. they are on the Internet and have all sorts of gadgetry.
